Supply programmes for recurring buyers

A single order answers this month’s need. A programme plans the year: the same material, to the same written specification, on dates you can build production around.

Our role
Seller
You bring
A specification, an expected volume and how often you want to ship.
You get
A shipment schedule, the same document set with every lot, and one contact on each side.
Commitment
A season or a year
How we are paid
A price basis written into the programme agreement.

Why plan ahead

Resin is a harvest. By the published account, beeyo is tapped through the summer season and maydi through the winter one.1 A buyer who asks during or after a season takes what is on offer then. One who asks before it can have the buying planned around the order.

A programme tells us in advance what you will need, so that we can buy the right type and grade when it comes in, and make up each lot to the same specification as the last.

For you
The same grade each time, shipment dates agreed in advance, and one set of documents your receiving team learns once.
For us
We know what to buy before the season starts, and can plan the buying around your dates.

What a programme fixes

Agreed in writing at the start.

Specification
Type, grade and limits, and the reference sample every lot is compared with.
Volume
The expected volume for the period, and how far either side may move from it.
Frequency
How often a lot ships: by the month, by the quarter, or timed to the harvest.
Quality checks
Which tests, by which laboratory, on which lots, and who pays for them.
Packing
Bag type, net weight and the marks on each bag.
Documents
The set that travels with every lot, so your receiving team sees the same papers each time.
Shipping schedule
Target dates, delivery term and port for each shipment.
Communication
Who reports what, and when: before buying, before packing, at shipment.
Price and payment
How price is set across the period, fixed per lot or reviewed at agreed points, and what is paid when.

What a schedule looks like

One line for each shipment. This is the form, with the columns a schedule carries: the entries are yours and ours to fill in.

What a programme cannot promise

These are wild trees. A season can fall short, and no programme can prevent that. What a programme does is say in advance what happens when one does: how much notice you get, which grade may stand in, and what you are free to cancel.

We are a new company. Buy one lot first, and size the first programme so that a shortfall would be an inconvenience for you and no worse.

How to start

  1. Buy one lot

Test the material and the way we work under product supply.

  2. Keep the sample

The sample you approved becomes the reference sample for the programme.

  3. Tell us the year

Expected volume, how often you want to ship, and anything your receiving or quality team needs.

  4. Agree the programme

We put the points above in writing, and both sides sign.

Questions

Who is a supply programme for?

A distiller, incense maker, extractor or distributor who uses the same material through the year and loses time or money when a grade changes or a shipment is late.

How far ahead should we commit?

Before the harvest you want to buy from. Tell us your year as early as you can and we will say which seasons it touches.

How do you keep quality consistent between lots?

The programme agreement provides that every lot is made up to the same written specification and compared with the reference sample. You see a sample of each lot before it ships.

Can volumes change during a programme?

Within the range the agreement sets. Outside it, we talk: more depends on what can still be bought, less on what has already been bought for you.

Can a programme cover more than one material?

Yes. Each material has its own specification and its own lots.

Tell us what your year looks like.

Material, grade, expected volume and how often you want to ship.
